Dental Prosthetics is a branch of dentistry which deals with the restorations of dental tissuesthat are lost for various reasons. The causes for the loss of one or more teeth are numerous: caries, dental nerve diseases – pulp and surrounding tissue, injury, periodontitis, traumatic bite, abrasion, dental tissues development irregularities, etc..

The lack of one or more teeth has:

1. health,

2. social,

3. aesthetic,

4. and psychological significance for the patient.

Health significance reflects in: 1. occlusion and articulation disorder which leads to difficulties in chewing and swallowing and the difficulties and limited movement of the lower jaw, 2. the lowered bite and changes in the jaw joint which can manifest like headaches and pain in the ear area, 3. the disturbed pronunciation of most words, so speech becomes less understandable.

Social significance refers to: 1. pronunciation is conditioned by the presence and position of teeth, so the loss of certain teeth makes changes in words pronunciation, which can cause difficulties in communication, 2. reduction of working ability and forced workplace change, 3. social life that is slowly decreasing.

Aesthetic significance is reflected in persons appearance changes, reduced height of lower third of the face, which gives the patient an elderly look.

Psychological significance can occur sometimes, in terms of the inferiority complex and the aging complex, although the patients are usually young people.

In our clinic we approach each patient as separate individual and make a treatment plan based on medical, functional and aesthetic requirements. Our goal is to suit the dental restoration primarily in the functional sense, that patients feel comfortable with them. Other goal is satisfying the aesthetic effect by seamlessly fit the restoration in the remaining teeth structures.

We are making all kinds of prosthetic restorations solutions, from the simplest to the most difficult and most modern. The tendency is to provide our patients with normal function in terms of chewing and speech, to give them confidence and a smile on their faces, and to fulfill a hidden desire for beautiful, shining and enchanting teeth.
